Trying to eat healthly, evaluate what I had today...?
Trying to bulk up, was day off from gym though =)
-Breakfast: 2 eggs cooked put on 2 toasted slices of whole grain bread, glass of OJ, and a grapefruit
-Lunch: Left over chicken parmasian, blue berries, and glass of milk
-snack 1: whey protein shake + blueberries
-meal 1: tuna fish, strawberries, glass of OJ
-snack 2: munched on almonds + water
-meal 2: oatmeal, grapefruite, glass of milk
*drank water through out the day
Breakfast - protien, whole grains, fruit, sounds good! Depending on what your nutrional goals are (lose weight, maintain, build muscle, reduce cholesteral, reduce sugar intake) you may substitute the two eggs with a 1 egg, 1 egg white mixture, which has nearly all the protien, but 1/2 the fat and chloesterol, and or swap the OJ for skim milk (more protien, less sugar, and you already are eating a fuit) or decaffinated calorie free beverage (tea, coffee, water, etc).
Lunch: As long as you controled the protion size of the leftovers, great! Blueberries are full of fiber!
Snack one: getting a little too fruity, this is you 4th serving of fruit for the day, and nary a veggie in sight!
meal 1: tuna fish, good, 5 & 6th serving of fruit, a little overboard. Especially since I see a 7th fruit serving in your future, and still no veggies. Fruits are a good source on energy and complex carbs, but in the end they do break down into sugar, and excess of sugar is stored as fat. Veggies are a much better solution, limit the servings of fruit.
