Did your grandma have a candy dish?
My grandma had a candy dish with a metal lid and it was impossible to slip a piece of candy without making a sound. I got caught every time. She usually had homemade candy in the dish.
I have the beautiful pink glass dish my mom always put home made fudge on. It is beside me now, on the printer, with Werther's in it. The dish is far too pretty not to have it out. Plus it is a piece of warm nostalgia for me.
Plus, I have kept the clear glass footed bowl that she put potato salad in. I just could not bear to have those pieces go to auction.
