Blue WIllow China in old shows?
I noticed on leave it to beaver, little house, andy griffith, all have those dishes in the background, I collect old china.
Just wondering if same dishes are used for each show, they just switch them back and forth, or did that china co.want free advertising.
So many companies made the Willow pattern that I doubt it was for advertising. First made in China (in porcelain) in 1700's after an English design, and then in pearlware and ironstone by the English....it is still made today. Some of the better stuff was made by Booth's of England as well as Caughley. These shows all had a prop department so they probably used same ones...some might even be on shows today.
