Have you ever known anyone who drank tea from a saucer instead of a cup?
Its known as 'saucering' your tea or coffee. I have seen some very old photos of 19th century Russian merchants drinking tea in this way and it was also done by some Irish people in the mid 20th century. So, as I haven't seen anyone doing it for years I'm just wondering if people do it still? Know anything about this unusual way of drinking tea yourself? I think I'll have a cup of tea while I'm waiting for answers and will try it out.
yes. actually i remember myself doing it when i was like four. because my grandma did it 
lol, this cracks me up so bad! to make the picture complete, she had an enormous samovar, so yeah... but i dont even know how she managed to pour tea into the saucer. And i fail to remember why did she do this even... probably to let tea get colder quicker.
