can i change cooking temprature of dish? i already have a turkey in oven..need help!?
I currently have a turkey in the oven at 325. I have a dish that takes 40 minutes to bake at 350. Can i put it in at 325? If so, how do i change the time?
here is the reciepe
1 box elbow macoroni cookie aldente
9-10 serviings of instant mashed potatoes
1lb white american cheese
half of a stick of butter
1 medium onion
greese pan
layer noodles-mashed potatoes, cheese, sauteed onions, melted butter and salt and pepper to taste-top layer is cheese butter and onions
bake at 350 for 30 minutes covered and then uncovered for 10 minutes
I cant make anything else..this was a dish i had planned. I forgot that the temp was diff. Everything is pretty much cooked and you are just warming everything so i was wondeirng if it would work with 325
350 is not very different from 325. If you meet in the middle at 338 or so, both your dishes should be all right. It's not ideal of course. But I think it will be okay.
I've done similar things before. Really, the temperature of your oven is probably not that accurate in the first place.
