Any suggestions on how to display my flow ware and transfer ware dishes without messing them up?
I collect transfer ware and flow ware dishes. They are blue and white and very pretty. Some of them are very old( from the 1800's) and expensive. I would like to display my collection. I recently saw a magazine that had the dishes hanging on the wall and I liked the way it looked. Is there a way of doing that without damaging my plates and platters? Also, does anyone have any other ideas for displaying my collection? Thank you for your help.
Most plate hangers have a plastic tubing on the areas that will be in contact with the plate. I am a fan of both items that you collect and I personally feel why collect if you don't display and enjoy. Another option is individual plate stands. I also like incorporating plates around a picture. This creates a grouping. If you have an open space above you kitchen cabinets mix your collection in with some plain colored pieces of pottery as well as candle sticks.
