What can I use for wings on a bumble bee cake?
I am making a bumble bee cake and I want wings that stick into the cake at an angle (not lay down). What can I use that is edible to do this? I thought about using two heart shape sugar cookies covered in white chocolate - sticking the point of the hearts in the cake towards each other - but I am afraid they will be too heavy and fall over and/or get soggy from the moisture of the cake. I also thought about using 'glass' candy - but not sure how I would get that into wing shapes. Any creative ideas are appreciated!
Stained glass candy.
Make a template or print out a drawing first, and lay it under the waxed paper before you spread out the candy, so it will be in the shape you want. Add different colored parts to the wings while still hot/melted.
