Ways to make my bedroom look less bland?
I now have my own bedroom (after moving out from sharing a room) and I really want to decorate my room some how (btw I'm not allowed to paint it/get a new carpet as its 'too much hassle' from past experiences lol) I was thinking I could collect lots of magazine cuttings and stick them to the side of my bookcase - sorta like this... http://myartisticlife.typepad.com/.a/6a00e5538e91818833010536ba9b6b970c-800wi then I could maybe add fairy lights like this... http://whi.s3.leg.thumbs.lg1x8.simplecdn.net/20090131125848.jpg and have a little lamp like this... http://ladyfiddler.chrisdabis.com/400-stained-glass-lamp.jpg what else could i do? posters? thanks xx

what i have dine for myself & friends, is got a big clear glass frame & got loads of pictures of my fave memories & stuck them in like a collage and put it on my wall.
or you could do a 'picture wall', similar sort of idea to the one above but its just getting loads of pics and/or certificated etc & putting them on a wall, like a feature wall.
Both these are pretty much free or cost little money 
but make sure you can put stuff on your walls if not, get a bright throw to put over your duvet on your bed & some nice/funky cushions & stuff
just think of what you like & see what you can make/buy, and you will find you can create your own unique things for very little money!
