Fair or fraud £5700 for a fiat eleganza 06?
My year old Panda was very recently written off in an accident.
I have been offered the above price by my car insurance people. The offer was taken I have been led to believe from the Glasses Guide, but this is this a trade guide, unfortunately I can not buy at trade price, I must buy a replacement vechile at the normal retail price. How unfair is that? Can I refuse this offer? What stance should I be taking? What might be the result if I refuse this offer?

It is well worth appealing against the amount offered. Most insurance compaines will offer the least they think they can get away with on the first attempt. When you appeal send in some local ads for a similar Eleganza so it shows how much you will have to pay to replace your old car.
As the insurance company have made you an offer they will know you will appeal the decision. I made a claim with Tesco insurance a couple of years agao and they sent a cheque straight away for a fair amount as they obviously knew they were being honest!!!
