Is this a healthy? Please advice if theres anything wrong with my meal set for the day?
Im trying to keep my metabolism up im 16 years old. but weight conscious. so i like to keep my weight down well im trying to lose weight i used to be fat and i heard thje best way is to eat 5-6 small meals a day and this is what i had today please advice if im doing things right.
Breakfast - 6:30 A.M - 40 G of oatmeal w/ a small portion of fruits cantaloupes (green and orange)
Mid-Snack - 9:00 AM - 9: 30 AM - A banana with almonds - or Protein Bar
Lunch at 12:00 PM: Fried Tilapia, a portion of brown rice and steamed water spinach
Afternoon Snack - 2:30 PM - 2:45 PM - A bowl of fruits (Half a mango, Half an apple, and 1 banana) topped with sugar free creamy plain yogurt.
Dinner: 5:30 PM - Fried Milkfish, Steamed Cauliflower, and Steamed Carrots (both veggies seasoned with salt and pepper)
Midnight Snack - 7:30 PM (Before Sleeping) - A glass of wheatgrass
You should be eating more than this. You can eat more and lose weight. You need to add some more starches to your diet (bread, potatoes, rice, oatmeal, ETC). Eat the majority of your carbs before lunch, and save a few for lunch, then cut them.

Starches: 5-7 servings per day
Fruits and veggies: 7-8 servings per day
Protein: 2-3 servings per day
Dairy: 2 servings per day
Eating a lot of small meals, will lose you a lot more weight than eating the same amount but in big meals.
I did a project for school one, I ate chocolate and ice cream for 2 months straight and ate every 3 hours to keep my metabolism up. I ended up going from 120 to 95 eating high calorie garbage.
It's not only what you eat, but how you eat it.
