Can Red Wings fans ever forgive Bob Probert's betrayal?

I don't think Probert meant much at all from his comment. The comment was not calculated in my opinion, therefore I say "whatever!"

You know, I think everyone is reading way too much into this. We don’t know the exact terms of how Probert and the Red Wings parted ways. Did the Wings management say, “Hey were really not going to pay you that much because of your off the ice antics and we have this Darren McCarty kid coming up through the farm system?” Then, the Blackhawks took him with open arms. It might be natural that Probert feels more loyalty to the Blackhawks.
But if Probert is really happier being considered a Blackhawk, then I’m okay with it. One of the best hockey fights that I’ve seen on TV was the epic McSorely v. Probie fight in the mid-nineties. That was a classic bout of two NHL super-heavyweight; they went toe to toe for about two minutes trading blows. It was so awesome that Don Cherry ran back in its entirety during the coach’s corner segment on HNC. I believe that should be our lasting memory of Probert as a Red Wing.
