My girlfriend did not get me anything for valentines day. I went all out. Perspectives?
I went all out, bought decorations and turned her coffee table into a fine dining setting. I put the plates on chargers and rose petals on the table cloth. I bought her flowers and chocolates. We made spaghetti and meatballs together. She loved it. I bought stuff to make chocolate covered strawberries for later.
While I loved that she loved this, I can't help but be a little disappointed that she didn't get me anything. A single flower would have been fine. I am wondering if this is a matter of complication between two girls when they are dating.
Am I being a chump? She knew we were making dinner. It had been planned for weeks.

Wow..you sound just like me...a true romantic....She should have given you something. You put a great deal of energy into making sure the evening was very special. Some people are givers and other people are takers. It took me several years to realize that my needs were not being met in my long term relationship.
Sit her down and express your feelings to her. And give her a chance to explain her actions. If she continues this type of behavior then you need to find someone that can give you what you need.Until that time be content loving and nurturing yourself.
