Food of England!?
As I have read in some topics here, English food is more multicultural nowerdays and has just grown in variety.
From my experiences in Yorkshire (North of England):
A burger will taste succulant and juicy, will be of a large size, with beautiful sauces full of flavour and sensation.
Fish 'n' chips will be cooked to perfection with that traditional taste that is unmatched outside the UK (or at least it tastes good enough for you to make that conclusion).
A mixed-grill will come on a plate so large and the plate will be overflowing with different meats with succulant flavours, thick cut hot chips, fresh salad or veg that hasn't been cooked too long.
Tode in the hole, Steak and ale pie, Full-English breakfast, Bangers and Mash, many many traditional dishes are cooked with care.
Many foreign dishes are slightly tailored to each and every area that cooks them so variation is a major aspect of food in the UK these days. Travelled and not found much to beat it yet.
You're making me very hungry!
