If you order soup and salad@Olive Garden, do you tip 20%?
Let's say you have an awesome server who is very fast, and let's say you eat 6 bowls of soup. Do you tip 20%? do you tip more for the extra running your server had to do? or just 20%? What percentage do you leave when you order the soup and salad?
Just wondering if anybody here ever leaves extra when they go out and order endless items. I mean, I feel like if your server has to run it (and that makes it different than a buffet b/c your server is doing all that work for you), then you oughta compensate for that work, i mean right, i mean the soup and salad special is 7 bucks and youre getting endless food, so really you're saving money and you actually have the extra money to leave. I always leave 25-30 percent if my server has to run back and forth w/endless items.
Yes I do because of the running back and forth the server does. Good attitude, attention to detail, etc., goes in to what I leave. I have never been to an Olive Garden where I did not get good service.
