How do i prevent my glass bowl to shadder in the oven?
Hi ,
So i am fixing some boxed potatoes today and i have to fix them in a glass dish..so i went and bought a glass dish from best buy and it's a oven dish or whatever it only costed 5 something dollars i think : How do i prevent it from cracking or breaking in the oven?
should i put like a baking sheet under it? and is it best that i put it on the top rack?
I just need some advice here on what to do , i'm only 16 and well i'm not sure and my parents are out so my brother and i are fixing a dinner for my parents therefore they aren't here..
so my questions are :
should i put a cookie sheet under it?
what are the chances it's going to break?
and should i do something else that might help it from breaking?
and by it shadering on a cold surface??
umm how do i prevent that so can i put it on the counter
?
If it is an oven dish, it should have a brand-name or logo on it.
Pyrex or Corning ware or Oven Pruf are some of the known ones.
If it's not oven safe, nothing you can do will help, it'll shatter.
You should have asked the lady in the store when you bought it.
Does your mother not have an oven-proof dish already?
