I want to purchase it for a gift for a mom...Just want to know which is the nicer of the 2
mikasa has a great deal on ebay. She doesn't own china I think she will like it, just wanted to make sure one was not better then the other. She has mentioned both names in the past

They are both of a similar quality. Mikasa tends to have more of a contemporary style. Noritake patterns are more traditional. Both good quality. You should make your selection on pattern, body color (white or biege), and silver or gold trim. What color does she like? Does she like to set a formal or casual table.
