How long will lasagna last if left in the refrigerator?
I cooked some lasagna, well actually, manicotti last Tuesday. I don’t want to throw it away, but I am also a stickler about eating leftovers – especially when they’ve been left in the refrigerator for more than a few days. I used a mixture of ground beef and turkey, spaghetti sauce with spices, ricotta and mozzerella cheeses. I left it in the clear pyrex dish that I cooked it in, and wrapped each end of the dish with plastic Wal-Mart bags. It has been in the refrigerator, but I am wondering if that would still be safe to eat? Could I even freeze it at this point? I don’t want it to go to waste, but I should have sliced it up and stored it in the freezer days ago.
Yes....pop it in the freezer immediately. Just as you've wrapped it. It will be fine, defrosted and reheated.
