Why is it so hard to get a decent cup of tea or coffee in America?
Is it to do with the quality of tea or coffee or the baristas, or is it something else?
I am going to say # on the average # if you are in the US, you cannot get a decent cup of coffee just anywhere, You would have to know the ways and ropes on # how to and where to # ?
When I first came to the US I was flabbergasted by the taste of coffee, that is saying mildly. First it just looked brown no taste and watery.
In the US the role of coffee does not carry the same impact as in Europe that is one reason.
Europeans have had a long relationship with coffee and the meaning of coffee is very important in ones life style. As to opposed to the US which would lean more toward sodas.
Of course the US finally has joined the appreciation of coffees with better machines,better brands. ( but on the average coffee in homes are not valued as in Europe)
