When making iced tea, are you supposed to dilute the tea?
I used to work for a very well-known fast food restaurant. We would make our iced tea this way: We would put a large tea bag in the filter compartment of our coffee pot and the coffee pot would brew the tea just like it was coffee. We would pour the pot of tea into another container and then add one coffee pot of cold water. We would repeat this step until the separate container was full.
So, in this instance, we would dilute each pot of tea by half using cold water. Is this the normal process to make iced tea?
sounds almost like the way i make it, but i usually steep the tea bags for about 4-5 minutes. Then with this concnetrated tea, i'll add water to taste.
